Proflow (Workflow BPM)

What is ProFlow BPM Suite?

Web-based “ProFlow BPM Suite”

ProFlow is two things in one: A powerful Process Improvement Tool and a System Development tool.

1. Process Improvement tool
Business Process Management BPM is a Business Administration concept that “promotes business efficiency and effectiveness while striving for innovation, flexibility, and integration with technology” ProFlow is a BPM tool to improve worker productivity.

  1. Define a stream (Modeling)
  2. Flow via the stream (Operating)
  3. Monitor performance (Monitoring)

2. System Development tool
ProFlow provides business people, who have no programming or system skills, a platform to improve their processes. In Thailand due to servers’ restrictions ProFlow is deployed on the servers of our customers. International customers can complete all BPM operations in the cloud via a Web browser. No software need needs to be deployed locally.

Modeling takes the theoretical design and introduces combinations of variables (e.g., changes in rent or materials costs, which determine how the process might operate under different circumstances).
It also involves running “what-if analysis” on the processes: “What if I have 75% of resources to do the same task?” “What if I want to do the same job for 80% of the current cost?”.

Modeling Functions:

1. Process Definition function
Anyone can design their own original workflows, from scratch or based on a sample (Process Archive).

  1. Design your Flow (Drag and Drop)
  2. Drop icons and draw a workflow diagram.
  3. Design your Data Set
  4. Define the data items and the data types; String, Date, Select and etc.
  5. Configure Access Level
  6. Determine what data item are accessible at each step.
  7. Configure Allocation Rule
  8. Assign group, role or user for each Swimlane.
  9. Configure Branch Rule
  10. Establish Conditions at each Gateway.

2. Activation Control function
Once a Process Model (workflow definition) is defined, merely pressing the “activate” button puts it right into the operating Workflow System.

3. Generation Management function
Each generation of Process Model can be exported and saved as Process Archive under the version control, to be used in other departments or as templates.

4. Master Management function
Product classifications or customer segment IDs are manageable as master data, available from some Process Models. Form PDFs like Quote or Invoice are consolidated as well.

ProFlow is meant to have a quick learning curve, enabling users to begin BPMN modeling within minutes.
